WHAT IS SYG?
SYG is where Church groups from all over the State meet at Warragul for a weekend of camping, sport, games, food, fun and sessions! The weekend runs from around 5pm on the Friday till Monday at 12:30pm.
You can come along and participate in sport/games (like uno, basketball, esports, frisbee and more) or you can come along watch sport or just hang out with the teams during the day. In the evening, you will have opportunities to go to night rallies, band tents, night activities, chilling by the fire, interacting with different churches and more! If participating in games, you generally will compete in 4 different time slots (sat morn, sat arvo, sun morn & sun arvo).
SYG is a great opportunity to make friends, enjoy each other’s company, whether you’re playing sport or not – everyone always has a great time! Come and join the team.
WHO CAN COME?
Those in Year 9 and under 30 years old can come for the whole weekend or just for a day as a participant or spectator.
SYG One Day - Year 7 & 8's
Year 7 & 8's are invited to join us on Saturday 8th June for SYG One Day.
Meeting at the church at 7am and heading down to Warragul. You will join a sports session in the morning. We will meet up for lunch at a local park and then head off to another sport session. Sports will finish around 4:30/5pm and you can come back to the group campsite for Hot Chips and dinner. After dinner you will head back to the church (approx. 8pm).
Parents of year 7 & 8's are welcome to come but will need a current working with children's check and will need to be registered with us to attend the grounds. Please contact Elim for more details.

Please note, campers who are playing 2 days of sport need to pay the full amount, even if they are coming late or leaving early.
WWCC
Anyone over the age of 18 attending SYG, needs to have a Working With Children's Check. You can get one for free, by heading to https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ and selecting "Apply for a check". You need a volunteer check - for any questions, please contact Elim (etai@sb.org.au)
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO PLAY SPORT?
If you aren’t playing sport, you will be able to go and cheer on any of the teams playing or just chill out at the campsite or explore Warragul. But for everyone – the nightlife is always a big hit! In the evening, you will have opportunities to go to night rallies, band tents, night activities, chilling by the fire, interacting with different churches and more! SYG is a great opportunity to make friends, enjoy each other’s company, whether you’re playing sport or not – everyone always has a great time!
