What Sets Us Apart

Kirk of the Way Presbyterian Church is a small gathering of disciples whom God has sought, bought, and caught. Because God has extended His covenantal love to us, we are: overwhelmed with love for Him; enthralled with worshiping Him; delighted to love one another, our neighbors, and the nations; and are pleased to work in His strength to plant healthy, faithful churches that plant healthy, faithful churches.

We are Kansas City's first local congregation of the Vanguard Presbyterian Church. The Vanguard denomination was launched in 2020 for three primary reasons: 1) to be faithful to the full counsel of God as revealed in Scripture and summarized in the Westminster Standards; 2) to maintain church polity in submission to God; and 3) to grow and plant disciple-making churches through evangelism, discipleship, and worship through Word, sacraments, and prayer in all lands because of the love from God through the grace that God supplies to the glory of God’s justice and mercy.
